Putting the cuffs on the mistruths from McCormack

Hurrah for NOW going after Bill McCormack for making false statements about you (NOW, Aug. 5-11)!

I feel I must also thank you for alerting me to the fact that McCormack has a book out. I'm very intrigued by it. Will McCormack talk about how he made secret deals with cops under investigation by internal affairs, only to renege on them later? Will he talk about how he allowed disciplinary proceedings against cop and part-time whore Gordon Junger to drag out long enough for Junger to retire with a pension?

And will McCormack talk about how, during his tenure as police chief he endorsed Gordon Chong in the 1992 municipal elections (going so far as to appear, in full uniform, on Chong's election literature), in flagrant violation of the Elections Act? Or how he never got charged for doing so?

Unfortunately, if I were to rush out to my bookstore and buy a copy of this book, it would mean that Bill McCormack would profit from my purchase. So maybe I'll just steal a copy instead.
