Italy deports 90 Nigerian prostitutes: report

LAGOS — Italian authorities this weekend deported 88 Nigerian women for alleged prostitution, human and drug trafficking, a newspaper report said Sunday.

Eighty-four of those deported are suspected prostitutes while four others were sent back to Nigeria for alleged involvement in drug and human trafficking, This Day newspaper said, quoting officials.In the past five years several thousands Nigerian women have been deported from European countries such as Italy, Germany and Belgium, for prostitution, human trafficking and illegal immigration.
