No porn penalty

HALIFAX — A man who pleaded guilty to possessing child porn was given a suspended sentence yesterday after the Crown said he posed no danger to the public. Peter Oscar Carlsson, 55, of Halifax, sent to photographic images of child porn via the Internet to an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl. Police seized his computer, but found no related images. He was placed on six months' probation.
